Every year I publish key performance indicators (KPI), as part of my Certified B Corporation™ status. I reflect on the time spent with charities, NGOs and organisations of purpose over the year, as well as pro-bono consultancy and coaching, and how I can continue to make a positive impact.
2023 was a year of alignment and amplification.
We’ve crunched the numbers, and I’m proud to say I’ve increased the percentage of time spent working with charities, NGOs and organisations of purpose (paid and pro bono) from 44% in 2022 to 60% in 2023. That means the majority of my work is now aligned to my vision and mission as a B Corp™; I’d like to thank all the fantastic organisations that have welcomed me, and my associate team, in to boost their in-person, hybrid and virtual programmes over the last year. I’ve prioritised work that showcases the many positives of virtual and hybrid work; from reducing travel to increasing accessibility, this year has proven that these formats, when thoughtfully planned and managed, are good for people and planet.
I’ve also chosen to focus on programmes which are able to amplify the impact of my work. As a small business it can be easy to think that there’s a limit to what you can do in the face of mounting global challenges, but by working together to pass skills and knowledge not just through organisations, but whole networks, we can turn our ripples into waves. As Co-Chair of B Local Oxfordshire+ it’s been great to collaborate with other B Corps™ on our collective mission to reinvent business as a force for good.
